My weekend

I never have very exciting weekends. The odd few have visits to my parents and other family on the West coast, but this wasn’t one of them!

Craig has been off all weekend. We decided we would go somewhere yesterday with Holly as it was a nice day. By the time we got ourselves ready for that it was gone 12! So we took her to woods behind a local park, Callendar Woods, which is in Falkirk. It was lovely, quiet, and I even got a bit of impromptu geocaching done!

We came back and Craig cut the grass at the back, one lawnmower wasn’t working properly, he burnt out the motor on the small one! He then managed to fix the bigger one thankfully.
Dominos pizza tea then watched Saturday night tv – You’ve Been Framed, The Whole 19 Yards, and Britains Got Talent!

Today we took Holly to her usual walking place along the canal. Again it was quite quiet but there were a few cyclists about. We went from there to do the food shop, and on getting back home Craig conveniently found someone to talk to while I unpacked the shopping, hung out the washing and made the lunch! Unbelievable but unsurprising!!

Craig then dug out a few plants from the front garden which I wanted out, I did more washing and the dishes.

He is now having a sleep on the couch while I’m watching tv and catching up on a few things online.

My exciting weekend, NOT!!

Weeks Holiday

Ok so my weeks holiday is almost over, back to work Monday.

We had a few days away in the caravan at Faskally near Pitlochry. It is a lovely site we have been back to before. We visited the Enchanted Forest in Faskally Woods on the Saturday. My parents were still there also so we all went. It involves lights, sounds, special effects, etc set around a lake within Faskally Woods. It was quite spectacular and well worth the money. We also went out and about a lot within Pitlochry, Blair Atholl, and the surrounding area. I took loads of photos, as is usual for me, which I will post shortly.

We came home Wednesday and Craig was back to work Thursday. I went to a craft fair in Glasgow during the day, which was fun as usual. I managed to find several inspirations for making this years xmas cards.

I’ve missed the boys and can’t wait to see them Monday…

Weird sight of the week!

Sitting in Anns car yesterday chatting before going in to pick up from nursery. We saw a woman going past on a bike, but she had a child on the front and one on the back with one of those bars attached to her bike and a wee bike at the back! We were commenting on how dangerous those, and the wee trailers you sometimes see on the backs of bikes with kids in them, are.
Ann then told me to look round and we saw a guy go cycling back on, wait for it…….a penny farthing!!!
Yes a real honest to goodness penny farthing!
We had to pinch each other as we couldn’t quite believe what we were seeing!
What I wondered though was what happens at traffic lights?
It’s not as if he can put his feet on the ground to steady himself while he sits waiting for the lights to change to green, is it?!!
Very weird sight lol
